- Some magazines/publishers
allow different competitions to be sent AIOE (all in one envelope) but
make sure they are all going to the same address
- Look out for FREE
postcards, often found in cinemas, shops, restaurants, etc
- When sending postcard
entries write your address at an angle. This should eliminate or certainly
reduce the number of your entries being returned
- Enter as many competitions
as you can to increase your chances of winning a prize
- Make sure you read
the terms & conditions of the competition you are entering
- Keep a record of
any comps you enter with "one entry per household". This way you will
know whether you have already entered
- Try using picture
postcards which are 'themed' to the prize or promoter
- Write off for a
booklet called the 'Fair Play Guide'. It states that 12 million pounds
worth of prizes are given away in competitions each month and claims
to give top tips on how to enter. Send your name and address on a postcard
to Fair Play Guide, Freepost Fair Play, Royal Mail
- Take care what
you enter. Make sure that if you are a winner, you can either take a
cash alternative or sell on the prize if you are unable to take it up
yourself
- Cut out your name
& address from junk mail for your plain paper entries
- Join a comping
group in your area - also a good source of entry forms
- Use the front of
old greetings cards as postcards - some designs are quite eye catching
- Get some personalised
address labels - this will save you having to write out your address
every time
- Don't give up,
that big prize could be just around the corner
- Why not try and
sell any duplicate prizes on E-bay

- Print your name
and address (at an angle), four times onto A4 card, and cut down to
make four postcards. You can buy reams of multi-coloured card at outlets
like Staples, and print from a normal printer. Its then cheaper to photocopy
the original onto the rest of the card
